As a premier construction company, we create fantastic residential developments for clients throughout the UK. With an array of experience in Gloucestershire, Bristol, and the Cotswolds, we create both traditional and modern buildings, as we aim to complement the surrounding environment. In the Cotswolds, we constructed traditional stone houses, while our modern waterside apartments perfectly suited the scenic surrounds of Bristol. Each building demands high-quality construction and a keen eye for detail, so we work with architects and local authorities to truly perfect our residential construction projects.
Dove Construction won the contract to build ten beautifully appointed apartments on the site of the Old Pump House, which is immediately adjacent to the river Avon at St Anne’s, Bristol.
As main contractors for this project, we had to provide a service that met stringent health and safety requirements. Our team had the knowledge necessary to undertake building work near water, which was utilised during construction.
The project required the near complete demolition of the Old Pump House and the construction of a development in a style that reflected the original building. This included lead covered dormer windows, lead lined guttering, and tiles and stonework that matched the original building. The Old Pump House apartments provide high-quality accommodation whilst retaining the character of the environment.
Designed with a steel-framed basement that’s capable of managing the water of a predicted flood, while leaving the remainder of the building undamaged, the building was completely tailored to the location. The exterior work also included the construction of new specialised drainage pumping facilities.
The upper three floors, of timber frame internal construction, comprise a range of one and two-bedroom apartments that are finished with a high-quality of interior and exterior finishes. The development was completed with hard landscaping surrounding the apartments, with soil retention walls that suited the environment and the access road.
Paternosters' is a development of fourteen plots in a courtyard style with off road parking. It comprises of four 3-bedroom houses, four 2-bedroom houses and six 2-bedroom flats.
This well specified, shared ownership development is a design and build project constructed by Dove, working in partnership with Severn Vale Housing Society. The 'Brownfield' site in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, became available for housing after the original owner/occupiers approached Dove to build them a new, purpose build facility on a 'Greenfield' site.
This project is a great example of our ServicePlus approach and our ability to facilitate a 'LandSwap' - a way of using Brownfield land to be developed for uses such as shared ownership housing, whilst releasing capital for the owner to fund/part-fund a purpose-built facility on a new site.
Meadow Court Development comprises three modern Cotswold stone houses constructed on the site of an old builder's yard in the centre of Northleach, Gloucestershire.
An area of great natural beauty and a favourite tourist attraction, it was important that these properties were in keeping with the rest of the town, while meeting current government building regulations.
Our high-quality workmanship achieved this criteria using local Cotswold stone, setting the modern double glazed windows within stylish soft wood surrounds, while using reconstituted natural stone roofing. All three houses were then encapsulated within the boundaries of traditional, natural stone walling.
This contract was successfully completed through Dove Construction's professional management of the tightly controlled planning restrictions and challenging access to the site.
This development of two semi-detached homes and four detached homes was built to a high specification in the village of Randwick, near Stroud.
These three and four-bedroom houses are constructed in reconstituted stone, with hard row tiled roofs in the traditional Cotswold style that blend perfectly with nearby buildings, enhancing the village.
Dove Construction built the entire development, working alongside the local authorities to design and build the infrastructure and surrounding access roads. Our civil engineering expertise was needed for the design of the correct infrastructure, as the building needed to manage the drainage on this steeply sloping site.
This architect-designed, four-bedroom house features many high-quality construction details. Bradstone walling, hardwood double glazed windows, and natural a slate roof with brick dentil eaves combine gracefully to give this house the substance and presence required by the client. The interior includes a hardwood entrance vestibule which successfully separates the family living quarters from the necessary office and meeting rooms.
We built this delightful, high-quality suburban family home with separate single garaging and completed the associated soft and hard landscaping whilst fully complying with the many tree preservation orders of the site.
Throughout the entire work period, we handled the challenges of tight access to the site with expertise and professionalism to realise this top-quality product. It demonstrates our high levels of craftsmanship that we bring to all our projects.
