Dove Construction Corporate Golf Day 2007

Following the submersion of the first Golf day - a day without rain!

Many thanks to everyone who were able to attend the re-scheduled Dove Construction Corporate Golf Day 2007. Having been rained off by torrential weather during the summer (!) all were hopeful of uninterrupted play as the morning began with slight cloud and a cool breeze at The Vale Golf Club in Worcestershire.

Clients and suppliers of Dove Construction made up teams playing under ‘stapleford’ competition rules for the individual competition, with additional prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive. This year’s team prize was a yellow ball competition that saw only two teams managing to still have theirs at the end of the round.

This year Dove was able to offer their non-golfer and improving-golfer guests, lessons with the resident professional. Beginning with a group lesson with individual instruction, the group then tackled the nine-hole course to apply their newly developed skills.

A great success, we are sure to be including the option of a golf lesson again next year to encourage all those reluctant players to come and enjoy the day.
